Choosing a Safer Path

"Hi, I’m Kabelo, and I go to school in Soweto. Some older learners were trying to pressure my friends and me to join their gang. I remembered what we learned at a school safety workshop about making safe choices and avoiding risky situations.

I told a teacher and walked away with friends who also didn’t want trouble. By speaking up and staying away from dangerous situations, we avoided violence and stayed safe."
